Po drodze zwiedzali\u015bmy staro\u017cytne pa\u0144stwo miasto Kurion, kt\u00f3rego \u015bwietno\u015b\u0107 sko\u0144czy\u0142a si\u0119 wraz z trz\u0119sieniem ziemi w IV n.e. Mieli\u015bmy okazj\u0119 obejrze\u0107 stanowisko, na kt\u00f3rym znajdowa\u0142y si\u0119 pozosta\u0142o\u015bci rzymskich \u0142a\u017ani i instalacji nawadniaj\u0105cych oraz wspania\u0142y amfiteatr. Dawniej mie\u015bci\u0142 on 3 tysi\u0105ce widz\u00f3w. Dzi\u015b, po rekonstrukcji z pozosta\u0142o\u015bci, w odbywaj\u0105cych si\u0119 regularnie w amfiteatrze wydarzeniach kulturalnych mo\u017ce bra\u0107 udzia\u0142 oko\u0142o tysi\u0105c os\u00f3b.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Celem naszej wycieczki do Pafos by\u0142a wizyta w starym porcie oraz w parku archeologicznym Kato Pafos, w kt\u00f3rym znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 jedne z najlepiej zachowanych mozaik pod\u0142ogowych we wschodniej cz\u0119\u015bci basenu Morza \u015ar\u00f3dziemnego. Tu ciekawostka &#8211; na stanowisku archeologicznym w Pafos od 1965 roku pracuje ekspedycja Centrum Archeologii \u015ar\u00f3dziemnomorskiej Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Pierwszym kierownikiem Polskiej Misji Archeologicznej na Cyprze by\u0142 prof. Kazimierz Micha\u0142owski. Po zwiedzaniu, udali\u015bmy si\u0119 na tradycyjny cypryjski obiad i wr\u00f3cili\u015bmy do Limassol.<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3474\"
